Anderson News
 Mrs Marinda Narcissus Redmon Siers is dead at her home in the western part 
of the county, the cause of her death being attributed to the infirmities due 
to her advanced age.She was born July 15, 1825, consequently she was nearly 89 
years of age. She was the widow of James Siers, who predeceased her to the 
grave some fifty years. To them were born 7 children, 5 who are still alive: 
                 Mildred Siers Tinsley of Shelby Co
                 Susan Siers Moffett of Spencer Co
                 Sarah Alice Siers Perry of Anderson Co
                 Bueretta Siers of Anderson Co
                 James T Siers of Anderson Co
Deceased children were: Martha Siers Moffett of Anderson Co
                        John Siers of Anderson Co
She has 47 grandchildren, 73 greatgrandchildren and 8 greatgreatgrandchildren
She was a most estimable lady and was loved by all who had the pleasure of her 
acquaintence.  Much sympathy is felt for the sorrowing ones in the loss of a 
kind and loving mother.  The interment was in the Siers burying ground at Birdie.

Date of death: March 4, 1914.
