Arlena Wright Messer, 74, of Mount Olivet, formerly of Carter County, passed away
Oct. 9, 1995 at Mount Olivet. She was born May 10, 1921 at Kehoe, daughter of the
late Elzie and Mary Belle Patton Wright.  

Surviving: her husband, Virgil Messer; two sons, Virgil Lee Messer and Phillip
Messer; a daughter, Carol Messer Mitchell; a nephew who she raised, Billy Clay
Wright; a sister, Mary Sizemore; and six grandchildren.

Kabler Funeral Home at Mount Olivet was in charge of arrangements. Burial in Mount
Olivet Cemetery.

Additional Comments:
Funeral services were conducted at Kentontown Christian Church by Phil LeMaster and
Hillary Underwood, ministers.
