Solomon DAVIS, Sally DAVIS, Robert DAVIS, and half sister Elizabeth Betsy
Pepper Davis HELTON. all born about 1799 to 1815 in or around Green County.

They are all listed as bonded in marriage in Green county: Solomon DAVIS md

Lucinda LEWIS 1824, Sally DAVIS md William LEWIS 1821, Robert DAVIS md
Matillda HOLLAND 1830, Elizabeth PEPPER (adopted by Jarret DAVIS) md Thomas

HELTON. (Her mother was formerly Sussanah PEPPER till her marriage to
Jarret
DAVIS. The Lewis's married the Davis's but migrated to Knox county Illinois

and were the first to found Hendersonville. They migrated with the MCKEES,
BROWNS, SKAGGS, GUMS, MCFARLANDS, LEWIS, DAVIS and many others in 1827,
most
all fought in the Blackhawk war....I have a great deal on the Lewis family,

Jeremiah LEWIS and Rachel BEACHEM LEWIS, of Green County, but I need more
information on Jarret/Jarrot DAVIS to make sure he was or was not the
father
of Solomon, Sally, Robert and Elizabeth. Robert DAVIS d in Green County in
about 1847 and his widow Matilda HOLLAND DAVIS moved to Knox County and
remarried....I would like a census if possible of Green in years 1840......

I have a tremendous amount of research on the Lewis, Davis familys and
Green county, that I would be willing to share...also historys of the
SKAGGS,
GUMS,DAVIS, LEWIS families after they went to Knox Cty, Illinois. Jarrot/
Jarret DAVIS (not Garret) owned land and was on the tax lists in 1820 and
before,he also attested as a witness to many wills and probate records
along
with the PEPPERS....any and all information would be appreciated.
