Eula Isabelle Cates Kirkwood

Eula Isabelle Cates Kirkwood, 87, of 929 Brown Road, died 9:15 a.m. Wednesday at Kentucky Rest Haven.
Born in Hopkins Co., August 25, 1898, she was the daughter of the late William Cates and Cordelia Rodgers Cates. She was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church and Sunday School teacher for 56 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cleo D. Kirkwood, Nov. 6, 1964. Survivors include one daughter, Sue Kirkwood Buchanan, 929 Brown Rd.; two grandsons, Michael and Mark Buchanan, Hanson; three grandaughters, Mrs. Donald Larkin, and Mrs.Tamara Moore, both of Hanson, and Mrs. Glenda Reynolds, Rt. 4, Madisonville; 13 great-grandchildren. Services wil be held 2 p.m. Friday at Harris Funeral Chapel, with Rev. Daniel Knight officiating. Burial wil be in Oddfellows Cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. today and Friday until the funeral hour.
