Hilton R Kirkwood

Hilton R. Kirkwood. 79, of Rt. 5, Madisonville, died at 8:45 p.m. Thursday at Hopkins Co., Hospital.

A retired carpenter, Kirkwood was a member of Grapevine Baptist Church and a veteran of World War II. He was born on Jan. 3, 1899 In Hopkins Co., Ky.

His parents were the late Odie Kirkwood and Victoria Utley Kirkwood. Surviving are his wife, Ina Belle Conley Kirkwood; a daughter, Mrs. Lillian Sundell of St. Louis, Mo.; three sons, J.R. of Fulton Calf. and Edward and Kenneth, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and several cousins.

Services wil be held a 2;30 p.m. Sunday at Harris Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Ralph Gill officiating, with burial in Oddfellows Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
