- CAIN, DALTON, LAINHART posted by Jeffrey Lyall
- I am looking for any
information on the LAINHART's from Jackson Co. I have in
my family Martha Elizabeth LAINHART from a place
called Drip Rock. Her parents were James LAINHART &
Kathern DALTON. Martha E. Lainhart
married William CAIN in Estill Co.Ky. November 1856.
William was also born in Jackson Co. It is also believed
that Kathern's sister Serina LAINHART married a brother
to William CAIN. any information can be of a great
help.

- CARTER, RUNYON, SPARKS posted by Jennifer Bawden
- Looking for info on and
fellow researchers of John CARTER and Nancy RUNYON. They
were married in Haywood Co., NC on 23 Oct 1823. By 1852
they were in Estill Co., KY. They had at least one child,
Louvina CARTER who married Daniel C. SPARKS on 04 Sep
1852 in Estill Co. Louvina & Daniel spent the
remainder of their life together in the Drip Rock
community, which in on the border of Estill/Jackson Co. I
believe John died around the time of this marriage. I've
got quite an extensive collection of the SPARKS line and
would be willing to share this. If anyone can help me out
with John CARTER or any other descendants, I'd be
grateful
- CAIN, TURNER posted by Sarah Thompson
- TURNER - I am looking for
informaton on the brother of my grandpa, Wiley TURNER.
His name was John Andrew TURNER. He was born in Jackson
Cty, Ky to Ambrose and Nellie (CAIN) TURNER in 1902. I
need to know if he died at a young age and if so, where
he is buried. I am willing to share what I have and would
be interested in hearing from others researching this
family.
- ADAMS, PARSONS posted by Jennifer
Bawden
- Looking for info on PARSONS
and ADAMS families from Clay and Jackson County. Joseph
PARSONS married Mary ADAMS in Clay County on 23 Apr 1861.
They were found on the 1870 Jackson Co. census. At that
time, they had 3 children, Barthena 8, John B. 6, &
Wm. S. 1. Next door to them were Mary's parents, William
S. & Barthena ADAMS. William was 47 & listed as
being born in IN. Barthena was 43 and & listed as
being born in VA. There is also a Job Alumbaugh listed
with this family. He was 2 and on a later census, is
found to be a nephew of William or Barthena. On the 1880
Census, Joseph PARSONS is no longer listed. There are
also the following children listed: Louis F. 9; Allen H.
7; George M. 5; & Mary 2. It looks like Joseph died
(or left) somewhere between c. 1878 & 1880. There are
several PARSONS living around Mary and her children, all
aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. By 1900, I've not been able
to find any of this direct line. Is there anyone who
might have some information on this line? It's been a
stickler for ages. I've got quite a bit of PARSONS info
and would be willing to share.
