Wesley "Shorty" Parrott, 84, of Meader Street, Campbellsville, died Wednesday, April 11, 2001 in Campbellsville.

Son of the late Francis M. Parrott and Effie Arvin Parrott, he was born in Taylor County, Kentucky, on March 29, 1917, and was a member of Mt. Gilboa Baptist Church.

Parrott was a former employee of Lyon-Beard Chevrolet Company and owned and operated Parrott's Shell Service at his retirement. He was a veteran of W. W. II, having served in the U.S. Army. He served in Algeria-French Morocco, Tunisia, Naples-Foggia and Rome Arno and was awarded the European-American Theater Ribbon with four bronze stars, the American Defense Service Med al and Good Conduct Ribbon.
