Attempts have been made to follow the format of the original document. In most cases, obvious errors, from the original, are indicated by [sic]. There are numerous inconsistencies of format in Chapter XI, The Roll of Companies, and have been copied without correction or notation. Spell checking has been used throughout the document, but, due to the numerous spellings of names, some typos in the transcription may have occurred.
