Welcome to the USGenWeb Archives Project for Nebraska. On this site you will find genealogically significant files that have been transcribed and contributed by volunteers. It is folks like you who have helped this project grow from its beginning in 1996 to what it is today. Please consider donating a file so that others may have free access to it. Remember, this site is what you make of it! If you have found useful information, please take a moment to thank the volunteer who donated the file. Happy hunting!
Use the County Tables of Contents | This is the most popular way to navigate the Archives. Each county has a Table of Contents (TOC). On each TOC the files are organized by file type, with a brief description, the file size, date it was added to the Archives, and name of submitter. |
Search the USGenWeb Archives | This search engine indexes all words in each document in the Archives. Therefore, a search can be on a surname, given name, or place, for example. |
Go directly to Nebraska ftp site | This allows you to navigate through the Archives directory structure without using the county Tables of Contents found below. Files are organized by county, then file type. These are the exact same files you will find by using the county TOC, but there may also be a few new files that haven't yet been added to the TOC. |
