Ida Allen Sept. 25, 1880 Arkadelphia Southern Standard

Ida Allen Died.
ALLEN–On last Saturday morning, Sept, 18th, at 12:30 o’clock, in this
city, Ida, eldest daughter of Mr. And Mrs. A. C. R. Allen, in the 7th
year of her age, of remittent fever and whooping cough.
Little Ida was an interesting and loving child. She was taken very sick
last week after her parents had come to town with her, at the residence
of her uncle, H. L. Cash, and all the time of her illness she suffered
severely but patiently. She loved her home, and several times, when she
was conscious and able to speak, she would say, “Oh, mama, papa, I want
to go home,” but never was able to be carried there. She finally went
home, but it was to her heavenly home. She is not alone there, for she 
is now an associate with the millions of happy children saved, around the
thrown of God, “for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” The bereaved
parents have our heartfelt sympathies in this sad affliction.
