Uncle Sam Ellis
The death of Mr. Sam Ellis occurred at his home near Gum Springs at 9
o’clock on Tuesday night of last week.
He is survived by his wife, three sons and nine daughters, Will Ellis 
of Fairview, Bollan Ellis of Poplar Hill, Tom Ellis of Gum Springs; Mrs.
Willie Pharris of Murchison, Tenn.; Mrs. Will Gipson of Humble, Texas;
Mrs. Herbert Atkinson of Marlow, Okla; Mrs. John Hutson of Ouachita, 
Mrs. Luther Wells of Star City, Mrs. J. Smith of Clear Springs, Mrs. Carl
Taylor of Star City, Mrs. Claude Bradshaw of Gum Springs and Mrs. Atlas
Bradshaw of Gum Springs.
He is also survived by a number of grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the cemetery Wednesday afternoon at 3
o’clock and the remains were laid to rest at Richland cemetery.
