Peter Stanley Died Tuesday Night
After several months failing health, Peter Stanley, aged 74, died at his
home on Stanley street, Tuesday night. Mr. Stanley was one of Malvern’s
oldest and most highly respected citizens. He was a member of the First
Baptist Church and was a devout Christian.
He is survived by his wife and three sons, J. E. And Tom Stanley of
Malvern and Will Stanley, of Louisiana, also two daughters, Mrs. Jim
Harris, of Texas and Mrs. Eliza Brown of Louisiana.
Funeral will be held at the family residence Thursday and the remains
will be interred at Harp Cemetery. Rev. J. M. Clem and Nick Jones will
have charge of the services.
The Times-Journal extends its sympathy to the bereaved.
