One. JOSEPH E. DAVIS Joseph Edward Davis, 81, of 305 East 24th Street, died at 2:15 p.m. Monday after a long illness. He had made his home with a daughter, Mrs. Addie Adcock, for the past two years. He was born in Miller County near Fouke and had lived in that area most of his life. He was a retired carpenter. Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Adcock, Mrs. Vivon Christa of China Lake, Calif., Mrs. Lela Jester, Ridgecrest, Calif., Mrs. Elza Carter, Grand Prairie, Tex., Mrs. Betty Jo Keahey, Texarkana, and Mrs. Allene Johnson, Bakersfield, Calif.; two sons, Jesse E. Davis, Texarkana, and Gene Davis Texarkana; one sister, Mrs. Alma Pilgreen, Texarkana and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday in the Concord Community Church building near Fouke. Officiating will be George Carter; Burial will be in the church cemetery under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home of Stamps. ***************************************************************************
