J. C. RAY Mrs. J. C. Ray, 70, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. B. C. Campbell, on the Blackman Ferry road. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Campbell, are two other daughters. Mrs. J. A. Davis of Texarkana, and Mrs. G. H. Wiggins of Rodessa, La.; three brothers, H. E. Vann, J. W. Vann and K. P. Vann. all of Texarkana; a sister, Mrs. Mattie Payne of Paint Rock, Alabama; four grand daughters, 11 grandsons and 11 great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Silverino Baptist church. The rites will be conducted by the Rev. 0. 0. Davis and the Rev. J. Ell Westbrook. Burial will be in the Silverino cemetery. Grandsons will serve, as active pallbearers and friends of the family will serve as honorary pallbearers. Mrs. Ray was a native of Hempstead County, Tennessee, but had lived in Miller county for the last 39 years. She was a member of the Baptist church.
