The Brinkley Argus, Brinkley, AR, Wednesday, May 17, 2000John Leo Wiesle Jr., 76, 
of Brinkley, died Sunday May 14, 2000, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in 
Pine Bluff. He was born May 22, 1923 in Brinkley, to John Leo and Elizabeth 
Deuerling Wiesle. He was a carpenter and an employee of Malham Building Supply 
Inc.  He was a United States Navy veteran of WW II, where he served as an 
aviation machinist's mate second class.  He recieved the victory medal, the 
American Theater Ribbon, and survived several crashes in the ocean.

Survivors include his wife, Irene Waggle Wiesle of Brinkley; three sons, Eddie 
Best of Moro, Danny Sandage of Haynes, and John Leo Wiesle III of Brinkley, and 
a nephew, he thought of as a son, Jackson Curtrightof Wynne; five daughters, 
Jeannette Guthrey of Pine Bluff, Joyce Wiesle Guthrey of Pine Bluff, Jessica 
Hilton of Mabelvale, Valentina Parker of Higginson, and Deborah Sherman of 
Whitehall; three brothers, Tommy Wiesle of Little Rock, Joe Wiesle and Clarence 
Wiesle, both of Brinkley; four sisters, Theresa Jackson of Fritch, Texas, Paulena 
Willcut of St. Louis, Mo., Mary Ann Reed of Laurel, Del., and Angela Hinton of 
Brinkley; 20 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death 
by a son, David Sandage of Brinkley.

Funeral services will be at 2 pm Thursday, May 18, at Brinkley Convention Center 
with the Rev. Don Stewart officiating.  Burial with military honors given by the 
United States Navy will be in Oaklawn Cemetary.  Arrangements are by Bob Neal and 
Sons Funeral Home.

The family will recieve friends from 6-9 pm Wednesday, May 17, at the Bob Neal & 
Sons Chapel.
Active pallbearers will be Benny Parker, Jimmy Sandage, Phillip Best, Shannon 
Sandage, David Sandage Jr. & Seth Finney.
