Times JOHN WILLIS STRONG DIES John Willis Strong, 83, resident of Harrison for four years died August -1. He was a retired farmer and stockman of Newton County. He was born January 5, 1879 in Lincoln County, Tenn., a son of John and Matty George Strong. He was a member of the AFM and the Odd Fellows. Survivors include three sons, Bulah and Hugh Strong of Harrison, John Strong of Galveston, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Opal Brkich of San Pedro, Calif. and Mrs. Clara Kent of Springfield, MO.; seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Informer or Newton Co. Times DAVID V. REDDELL OF MT. JUDEA DIES David Vinson Reddell, 67, farmer and life resident of Mt. Judea died Sunday at the Boone County Hospital. He was born january 22, 1898, a son of Billie and Nancy Holt Reddell. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. May McCutcheon Reddell; a son, Floy Reddell and four daughters; Mrs. Horton Hickman and Mrs. Levy Harris of Harrison, Mrs. Gene Pratt and Mrs. Leonard Young of Memphis, Tenn; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Campbell of Harrison, Mrs. Pearl Hamilton of Stark City, Mo.; seven grandchildren. The funeral was held Tuesday at the Mt. Judea School by Rev. Lee Wilson with burial in the Mt. Judea School by Rev. Lee Wilson with burial in the Mt. Judea Cemetery. Times JAKE HOUSTON, NATIVE OF JASPER DIES Jake Houston, 75, of Everton died October 8. He was a retired glass factory worker and a native of Jasper. He was born March 8, 1890, a son of William and Martha Harp Houston. Salmon, 80, of Bass and a lifelong resident of Newton County, died February 2 at her home. She was born October 27, 1886 at Davis Creek, a daughter of Johnnie and Elizabeth Dickey Hamilton. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include three sons, J. M. Salmon, and N. L. Salmon of Bass, A. L. Salmon of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. M. D. Kuykendall of Walnut Creek, Calif.; six grandchildren and one great grandchild. Funeral services were held February 7 at Bass with burial in McCutcheon Cemetery. Times AMBROSE KILGORE OF JASPER DIES Ambrose Kilgore, 94, of Jasper died August 16 at the Harrison Nursing Home. He was born May 1, 1873 at Low Gap, a son of Ruben and nancy Jane Roseberry Kilgore. He was a retired firmer and a lifelong resident of this county. Survivors include six sons, Oscar; Ford; Raymond of Jasper; Adrin Kilgore of Pryor, Okla.; Warren and John Kilgore of Kansas City; four daughters: Mrs. Lela Brasel of Mulberry, Mrs. Virgie Henderson of Jasper, Mrs. Fredia Young of Tulsa, Okla., Mrs. Blanche Bateman of Stanley, Kan.; 29 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. Informer or Newton Co. Times MRS. LAURA McCUTCHEON OF BASS DIES Mrs. Laura Bell McCutcheon, 91, of Bass died at harrison, August 21. A native of mansfield, Mo., she was born July 13, 1876, a daughter of Frank and Mary Shaffer Green. She had been a resident of Newton County for 83 years. She had been a member of the Church of Christ for 73 years. Survivors include five sons; Charlie, frank and Bud McCutcheon of Bass, Ernie McCutcheon of Fresno, Calif. Harley McCutcheon of Cave Creek; five daughters, Mrs. Nerva Dickey of Harrison, Mrs. Nancy Henson of Bass, Mrs. May Reddell of Mt. Judea, Mrs.Velma Hill of Fresno, Calif., Mrs. Ava Reddell of Wichita, Kan.; a brother, John Green of Sand Springs, Okla.; 60 grandchildren, 102 great grandchildren and 12 great great grandchildren. Maberry, 59, farmer of Cave Creek and life resident of Newton County, died Wednesday, June 23 at the Boone County Hospital. He was born May 12, 1906 at Hasty, a son of Thomas and Dora Collins Maberry. He was a member of the Chruch of Christ. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Nema maberry and a son, Tommy Mayberry of Cave Creek; his mother, Mrs. Dora Garner of Hasty; two half brothers, Joe and Albert Garner of Hasty; two step brothers Frank Garner of Colton, California, Tom Garner of Plymouth, Michigan; four sisters, Mrs. Margie Farmer of Harrison, Mrs. Ruth Henderson and Mrs. Verla Doane of Hasty, Mrs. Galdys McCutcheon of Western Grove; two step daughters, Mrs. Betty Waters of Jasper, Mrs. Myrtle Sexton of Antlers, Oklahoma, one grandchild. Funeral services were held June 25 with burial in the Mt. Judea Cemetery.
