Here's another one from Ouachita County.  It's for the first husband of
Leola Ann Madeline Whitten Adams Hickman, whose obit I posted earlier.
This, too, came from his grandaughter exactly as I have shown it.
Found in Leo Whitten Hickman's bible:
        ADAMS - Ervin T. Adams was born in 1849 and departed this life
October 26, 1892.  He professed religion in 1888 and joined M. E. Church
South. He was quiet and unassuming in his manner and was held in respect 
and esteem by his neighbors and acquaintances.  He bore his sufferings 
with true Christian fortitude and died in the full triumphs of the
Christian's hopes.
        He leaves his wife and eight children to mourn their loss.  But 
their loss is his gain.  He has entered into the Rest that remains for 
the people of God; there he will await their coming.  Let the Trust in 
God and live obedient to His will, that someday they will join husband 
and father on the other shores where separation will be no more.
