(Thomas Jefferson) Weaver Centenarian died at his home at Minturn, Arkansas Thursday April 13, 1944 at the age of 103 years. He was borned in Murphysboro, Virginia, and served in the Union army during the civil war. He later moved to Imboden in Lawrence County where he reared a family. He had lived in Minturn since 1926 and engaged in farming until he was 100 years of age. He was married Dec. 30, 1883 to Mary Elizabeth Jenkins Riddle, who survives she is 83. Other survivors include three son's; George of Black Rock, James Andrew Weaver of Minturn and William Arthur Weaver of Alicia; three daughters, Mrs. P.T (Lucinda) Toy of Pocahontas, Mrs. W.L. (Mary Ellen) Horsman, of Kennett Mo., and Mrs. W.A. (Augustia) Miller of Ponca City, Oklahoma.39 grandchildren and a number of great grand children. Funeral services were held Saturday April 15, with interment in the Masonic Cemetery at Pocahontas, Arkansas. Johnson Funeral Home of Walnut Ridge had charge of arrangements. Rev. Staten was in charge of religious rites. Pallbearers were Earl Slagle, Leo Roberts, Raymond Hill, Harvey Simmons, Verlon Marshall and Bill Kissee.
