The Benton Courier, Monday Evening, August 13, 1979
Mrs. Mary Ethel Harris, aged 69, of Benton died Saturday. She was a
member of the United Pentecostal Church.  Survivors include her 
husband, L. A. Harris; three sons, James Harris, Chester Harris and 
Joel Harris, all of Benton; one daughter, Mrs. Jerlean Taylor of Hot 
Springs; four brothers, George Childress and John Childress, both of 
Benton, Charles Childress of California and Ralph Childress of Iowa; 
two sisters, Mrs. Adelle Earnhart of Benton and Mrs. Nellie Johnson 
of Missouri; 14 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.  Funeral
J. R. McElhannon officiating.  
Burial will be at Social Hill Cemetery by Ashby Funeral Service.
