Carolyn Sue (Parsons) Smedley, 71, of Fort Smith,Sebastian County,AR died
Wednesday, December 27, 2006, in Fort Smith. She was a loving wife,
mother and grandmother, a member of the First United Methodist Church and
a former office claims adjuster for Shelter Insurance.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Johnny Ray Smedley of
the home; one daughter, Debra Sue (Smedley) Calhoun of Fort Smith; one
son, Richard R. Smedley of Broken Arrow,OK; one sister, Myrna Wells of
Fort Smith; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, December 30, 2006, at 10 a.m. at the Edwards
Funeral Home Chapel with burial to follow at Oak Cemetery in Fort Smith,
all under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Dr. David Kocher, Jason Stuart, Dan Woodward, Bob
Wells and Johnny Dart.
The Family will receive family and friends at Edwards Funeral Home on
Friday from 5-7 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Donald W. Reynolds
Cancer Support House. 3324 South M Street, Fort Smith, AR 72903.
